Megan Bunce

Director of Government and Community Affairs

Megan Bunce serves as the Director of Government and Community Affairs at America’s Warrior Partnership. Megan brings a unique perspective to the organization as it relates to warrior care policy, collective impact, charitable giving, and case coordination by building upon years of experience collaborating with various organizations throughout the government and veteran service industry.  Over the past ten years, Ms. Bunce has worked on landmark caregiver legislation as well as identified various trends, needs, and issues in war-related injuries, rehabilitation, and reintegration. At America’s Warrior Partnership, she is responsible for developing strategic partnerships that align community-based support with national programs.

Ms. Bunce came to America’s Warrior Partnership from the Bob Woodruff Foundation where she led the Charitable Investments Program that provided millions of dollars’ worth of innovative grants to numerous nonprofits serving our troops and their families.  She began her veteran service career by co-founding a nonprofit in college to recognize the service and sacrifice of deployed military personnel. She later worked for Wounded Warrior Project where she was hired as a team leader responsible for proactively assisting acutely injured patients and their families navigate the myriad of resources available to them at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Her major emphasis was on re-engaging these men and women with their communities.

Megan holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in International Studies: Politics & Diplomacy and resides in Washington D.C. where she enjoys volunteering, traveling, international affairs, Fightin’ Texas Aggie football, music and the arts.
