A Veteran’s Cold Dilemma Warmly Resolved

For many of us, the gentle hum of a refrigerator is a sound quickly taken for granted. It quietly preserves the essentials of daily life, ensuring that our meals are fresh and our drinks are cold. But for Army veteran Randall Lorne, that sound had recently become a source of stress.

After proudly serving our country from 1987 to 1991, Randall faced a small yet significant challenge—his refrigerator was no longer cooling as it should. Randall did not have the excess funds to fix this growing issue, let alone get an entirely new appliance. This was when Randall turned to Permian Warrior Partnership (PWP) for help

Ever wondered what $10 could do? It can save the lives of veterans like the one you're reading about in this story. Donate $10 a month and help us reach veterans before a crisis occurs. Together, we can do better. Our veterans deserve better.

Understanding the importance of this seemingly simple appliance, PWP Case Coordinator Azzie Rogers contacted several appliance companies. Amidst the search, one company made a generous offer to complete a service call at half the usual cost. Randall managed to cover his portion, and soon, his refrigerator returned to its reliable self.

Now, the hum of a working fridge is once again a comforting presence in Randall’s home. It’s a reminder that even the most minor acts of support can make a difference in the lives of those who’ve served. PWP is proud to be the resource veterans like Randall continue to turn to for support.
