Having reliable transportation provides the independence to seek opportunities, secure employment, and achieve financial stability. For many, access to dependable transportation is the key to unlocking their potential and reclaiming their freedom and dignity. So, when a veteran reached out to the AWP Network seeking assistance with their vehicle, the Network team rallied to ensure this veteran's success.
Jeremiah Bowman, a post-9/11 Navy veteran, served as a Petty Officer Second Class from 2002 to 2011. He sought employment when his car, essential for commuting to jobs, stopped working. Unemployed and without reliable transportation, Jeremiah needed a lifeline. This was when Jeremiah turned to the America's Warrior Partnership (AWP) Network.
Understanding the critical need for reliable transportation to secure employment, AWP sprang into action. They contacted a national partner who provided the necessary support to get Jeremiah's vehicle back in good condition. With his car repaired, Jeremiah found himself fully employed and capable of commuting to work. The support from AWP not only fixed his vehicle but also restored his independence and sense of purpose. Jeremiah was incredibly grateful for the support that the AWP Network was able to provide for him, before his situation spiraled out of control due to the lack of financial independence.
