Continuing to sustain relationships with veterans and support them in their community is a vital facet of Indy Warrior Partnership (IWP). Charlie Reynolds* is an Army veteran (’97-’03) whom IWP has assisted in the past. When Charlie recently reached out again for help with a grant issue he was having, IWP gladly listened and got to work.
Charlie received a grant from a national organization to assist with his basic needs. However, Charlie was having issues with this grant and was unable to get ahold of the case manager who managed his grant. Unsure what to do, Charlie contacted IWP for support. Charlie communicated his frustration with the organization he was working with and his desire to find a new case manager.
After hearing about Charlie’s situation, IWP Community Coordinator Abby Pequignot evaluated his options and looked to local partners. Abby referred Charlie to her Housing Navigator contact at Volunteers of America (VOA). IWP is currently working with VOA to transfer Charlie’s case to them, giving Charlie peace of mind for his living situation. IWP will continue to support Charlie in this process and any other needs he may have in the future.
