On October 6th, 2019 Operation Deep Dive was represented at the Vet Fest Musical Festival. The Operation Deep Dive Research Assistant in conjunction with the local community action team leads from Palmetto Warrior Connection were there to enjoy the festivities.
The Vet Fest Musical Festival was hosted by the Tri-County Veterans Support Network. The event took place in North Charleston on a Sunday afternoon and included delicious food trucks, local vendors, bounce houses, live music, and veteran resources and organizations. The Vet Fest was a huge success with a great turn out of local community members, Veterans and their family members. All money raised from ticket sales and donations went to supporting veterans and their family members in need of assistance. The Operation Deep Dive Research Assistant was present to help inform community members about the study and answer questions about what the research entails. The music, food, and information represented the Tri-county area well, and it was a great opportunity to network with community organizations and citizens, alike.
